About Us
Bridging the gap between employees and employers with professional clarity.
Why Workplace Clarity Exists
Workplace Clarity was created to support employees, managers, HR, and employers at the point where workplace processes begin, before matters escalate or positions harden.
In practice, initial workplace issues may be handled by a manager or supervisor, referred directly to HR, or managed jointly. While employers are often more prepared for these situations, early information gathering still involves partial information, competing considerations, and the need for balanced judgement, particularly when expectations are unclear or issues emerge unexpectedly
That early stage is where clarity matters most, for everyone involved.
About
Mercy Wilkie is the Principal Consultant and Founder of Workplace Clarity. Mercy brings over 15 years of experience navigating complex workplace matters, having worked on both sides of the table—supporting employees through processes and leading HR teams across public sector, not-for-profit, and private organisations.
I am an HR professional with extensive experience across employee relations, workplace processes, and organisational frameworks, including time in senior HR and leadership roles, predominantly in public sector environments.
Since June 2024, I have worked independently through my consultancy business, supporting employees and employers across the private sector, not for profit organisations, small businesses, and the public service. This has included assisting employees to navigate workplace issues and respond professionally, as well as supporting organisations with workplace processes, policy review, and HR related projects.
Having worked in senior HR roles, I understand how initial responses are interpreted and how easily misunderstandings can escalate when clarity is missing. This experience shapes Workplace Clarity’s calm, structured, and measured approach.

Workplace Clarity provides process focused workplace guidance grounded in senior HR and leadership experience.
Our approach is designed to cut through the noise, helping you understand where you are in a process and what professional responses look like.
Independence & Integrity
- Independence: Workplace Clarity does not act for both an employee and their employer in relation to the same workplace matter.
Support does not include:
- Legal advice or interpretation
- Advocacy or representation
